SPECT Scan

SPECT is a short form of ‘Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography’. It is an imaging technique that uses gamma rays and provides 3D Information in the form of cross-sectional slices.

About the scan

The SPECT Scan monitors the level of biological activity of the organs analysed.

It is similar to a PET CT Scan in its use of radioactive tracer material.
